Shockwave Therapy
What is it?
Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy is a very safe advanced treatment with very few side effects which uses sound wave to stimulate the bodies tissues beneath the skin. It has a high average success rate of between 60-80%.
It is primarily used for tendon pathologies which can be notoriously difficult to recover from. Shockwave can be highly effective at pain relief, cell regeneration and increased blood flow to induce a healing response.

The evidence suggests weekly treatments of 4-6 sessions and is effective at treating many pathologies including:

-
Plantar Fasciitis (Heel and foot pain)
-
Achilles Tendinopathy
-
Patellar Tendinopathy (Jumpers Knee)
-
Epicondylitis (Tennis or Golfers Elbow)
-

-
Proximal Hamstring Tendonitis (Pain near Sit Bone)
-
